Bong Joonho is one of Korea's most well-known movie directors. Some of his popular works include 'The Host', 'Mother', and his English-language debut 'Snowpiercer'

The movie 'Okja' will have dialogue mostly in Korean and partially English. Screenwriter Jon Ronson is repsonsible for the screenplay. Netflix has invested in the movie as well. The film production company Plan B Entertainment, founded by Brad Pitt, joined as part of the producing company. Tilda Swinton, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Kelly MacDonald and Bill Nighy are also cast in the movie. Ahn Seohyun (the little girl in Dream High) is said to be the female lead. The movie is about the friendship between a girl and an animal called Okja that has lived a difficult life.
